Product Overview
The LTC6993 is a monostable pulse generator (one-shot) in ADI’s TimerBlox series. Compared to traditional 555 timer or MCU solutions, the LTC6993 requires no complex programming or numerous external components; the output pulse width can be set using just a single external resistor, with a pulse width range spanning 1 µs to 33.6 s. With a supply voltage range of 2.25 V to 5.5 V, it is suitable for low-power, wide-voltage supply applications.

The LTC6993 series offers four trigger and output configurations, allowing designers to select the appropriate variant flexibly according to system timing requirements.
LTC6993-1: Rising-edge triggered, non-retriggerable
LTC6993-2: Falling-edge triggered, non-retriggerable
LTC6993-3: Rising-edge triggered, retriggerable
LTC6993-4: falling-edge triggered, retriggerable
The retriggerable versions can extend the output pulse width if a valid trigger is received again whilst the output pulse is in progress; the non-retriggerable versions ignore new triggers during the pulse, making them suitable for fixed-width pulse outputs.
